Baby friendly food with porridge can be made more easier and available using any seasonal fruit available on the go, as shown in the video below. When we use thin rice flakes or Poha also called as Paper Avalakki or Poha or Aval its made more filling or nutritious.
Replacement with thick regular Poha can also be used, just that we have to wash it and soak it for a longer time to soften but the consistency will remain thick as the nature of the regular thick Poha. Can be given to 6 months+.

INSTANT POHA & FRUIT PORRIDGE for Babies & Toddlers

Instant Poha Fruit Porridge is an instant food which can me made whenever and wherever you are on the go. Nutritious and fruits full travel friendly porridge made instantaneous and tasty.

Ingredients

  • Seasonal Fruit – ½ cup pureed
  • Thin Poha – ¼ cup
  • Hot Water – ½ cup
  • Dates Powder – 1 tsp optional
  • Nuts Powder – 1 tsp optional

Method

  • Seasonal fruits are taken, soft fruits like Papaya, Mango or Chickoo but here we taken Banana, mash the Banana with fork.
  • These are purees like Mango and Chickoo fruits, that is soft and easily mash-able on the go.
  • Now as the main ingredient Thin Poha - 1/4 cup to it and Dates powder - 1 tsp (Optional also we can replace it with Nuts powder). Add Hot Water- 1/2 cup and mix it well.
  • Once mixed well, allow it to settle for 2-3 minutes by covering a lid.
  • Mix it well and its ready to serve.
  • Instant Poha and Fruit Porridge id ready to serve.
