Vegetable Dal Soup for Babies, Toddlers and Kids

VEGETABLE & DAL SOUP for Toddlers, Kids & Family

This protein rich Vegetable & Dal Soup can be made during that cold sufferings for an instant relief for babies, kids or even adults.

Ingredients

  1. Moong Dal – 2 tbsp
  2. Green Peas – ¼ cup
  3. French Beans – 10 numbers
  4. Carrot – ½
  5. Onion – ½
  6. Tomato – 1
  7. Black Pepper – ¼ tsp
  8. Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  9. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  10. Salt – To taste
  11. Water – 1 1/2 cup
  12. Ghee- 1 tsp

Method

  1. Take a pressure pan and add ghee. And when ghee is well heated add jeera / cumin.
  2. Add finely chopped onion, and mix them well and fry for 2 minutes
  3. Add all the vegetables as mentioned in the recipe box, including peas, beans, potato, tomato. Mix well for another minute.
  4. Add pepper and turmeric powder. Add salt for babies above 1 year.
  5. Mix all the ingredients and then add rinsed Moongdal.
  6. Add Water as needed and close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.
  7. Once cooled open the pressure cooker to check the readiness of soup. This well cooked soup can be served as is or with the help of a hand blender make a fine puree. Serve the soup hot for your babies, kids or family.
  8. Vegetable & Dal Soup is ready to be served.
