Dates Syrup for Babies, Toddlers and Kids

Ingredients

  1. Dates – 200 grams
  2. Water – as required for soaking
  3. Muslin cloth for straining

Method

  1. Chop Soft Dates into small pieces, soak for 30 minutes in pre boiled hot water.
  2. Finely blend the Dates in a mixer along with small quantities of soaked water.
  3. Using muslin cloth/ cheese cloth or any thin cloth we need to carefully filter the mixer mixture carefully, thereby extracting the Dates syrup water.
  4. Now repeat the same procedure one more time and extract the Dates syrup water.
  5. Transfer the strained Dates syrup water to a heated non-stick sauce pan and allow it to boil till it reaches the thickness of honey.
  6. Mix the sauce pan contents continuously on a medium flame to prevent over flowing and sticky bottom.
  7. It’s highly advisable to remove the contents and off the flame before it gets very thick when cooking on the flame, as the cooked contents tends to thicken some more after cooling.
  8. Dedelicious and healthy Dates Syrup is ready to serve
